The exciting story of Louis Vuitton!

The exciting story of Louis Vuitton!

More than 200 years the Louis Vuitton brand is a symbol of luxury, wealth and class.

But have you asked yourself who is the creator of the luxury brand known all over the world?

Louis Vuitton was born in 1821 into the family of a French farmer and a hatter.

His mother died when Louis was only 10 years old. Not long after, the father remarries and his mother's caresses are replaced by cruel treatment from his stepmother.

This forces Louis to flee to Paris. There he is confronted with the harsh reality of the opulently rich and the extremely poor living amidst devastating epidemics and disease.

Forced to earn a living, Louis began as an apprentice in a suitcase-making workshop. Within a few years, he managed to establish himself as extremely talented and resourceful and became one of the best in the industry.

Napoleon III's wife Eugénie learned of his talent and she hired him to personally take care of packing her clothes for her travels. For this purpose, he created special boxes, which fascinated the elite royal society.

In 1854 Louis Vuitton opens its own atelier for suitcases and travel boxes.

Unprecedented interest in his products forced him to open a new store and an even bigger workshop for the production of boxes and suitcases.

Back in 1885, he opened his first store in London.

The fame and success of Louis Vuitton became one of the most famous manufacturers of luxury travel bags of the time.

In 1870 the Franco-Prussian bloody war breaks out. The store in Paris was completely destroyed and ransacked. This does not break Louis. With a lot of energy and new ideas, he opens a new luxury store on Rue Scribe.

With this new beginning, Louis Vuitton becomes a luxury brand sought after all over the world.

Contributing to this is the new suitcase design in beige with red stripes, which is a hit among the European elite.

In the following years, the designer constantly changed and created luxury suitcases and accessories.

After his son George took over the company, he created the world-famous LV emblem.

This tale continues to this day. The Louis Vuitton brand is a sign of luxury, wealth, chic and aristocracy.
